ASTANA. July 24 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — The National Bank of Kazakhstan said Friday that the main risks to inflation stem from elevated and volatile inflation expectations, fuel and utility prices, a potential pickup in consumer spending and accelerating external inflation, as it explained its decision to cut the base rate to 16.75%.
