Archaeologists warn Kazakhstan’s ancient heritage being erased by unchecked development

ALMATY. Sept 23 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Dozens of unique archaeological sites in Kazakhstan’s Turkistan and Zhetysu regions have been irreversibly lost to agricultural or development work, according to Olga Gumirova, Executive Director of the public foundation "Petroglyph Hunters."
